Linda J. LeZotte, LEED AP, specializes in the areas of land use, environmental and municipal law and corporate development. Her representation includes assisting individuals, developers and Charter Schools through the land use entitlement process before the County Board of Supervisors, City Councils and Planning Commission; She also advises clients on environmental issues including Green Building policies and ordinances and compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and local environmental policies and procedures.

Ms. LeZotte continues to advise small business clients regarding legal structure, minutes, corporate records, buy sell agreements and leases.

Ms. LeZotte was recently Of Counsel in the land use department of Berliner Cohen in San Jose. For eight years, Ms. LeZotte served as a distinguished member of the San Jose City Council leading the green building policy discussion, and six years as a San Jose Planning Commissioner. Prior to public service, she practiced for two decades in the areas of corporate, partnership and estate planning law.

Ms. LeZotte chaired the Joint Venture Silicon Valley Sustainable Buildings Initiative, and serves on the Cities Association Green Building Collaborative and the Advisory Board of Sustainable Silicon Valley. She is a frequent speaker on various topics relating to climate change legislation and regulations, green development and the promotion of sustainable/green design.

Ms. LeZotte is accredited by the U. S. Green Building Council as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) in New Construction. She is one of a select group of Silicon Valley and California attorneys who have earned this valuable designation. The LEED certification is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability and for demonstrating that building projects are truly "green."
